Quality Management Task 1
What is Quality Management? After listening to what is said in the videos about quality, I have given myself an idea to define that quality management is a set of processes in which a company or organization can plan and execute different activities in order to achieve a product or service that meets customer expectations and thus "satisfy" their needs and have the expected quality.
What is the objective of Quality Management? Like many companies want to be number one and therefore have the least amount of competition possible within your market it seems to me that the main objective of a correct quality management is that the client ends up satisfied and comfortable with the product or that it acquires and even also that they know how to attend to the suggestions that the same clients can make to the different products that are offer.
Which are the key components of Quality management? Describe in detail each one. Organizations usually have certain disciplinary components to be able to carry out objectives, among which are:
Quality objectives: It is important to build goals based on achievable objectives in which each member of the company understands that the purpose is to achieve efficient quality for the client.
Quality manual: It is a documentation to adopt a quality role within an organization that must also meet certain requirements such as detailing the requirements of the quality management system standard or the reference to the specific quality procedures used within the organization, to name a few.
Organizational structure and responsibilities: A quality model must always have a solid and clear structure for understanding, apart from what role forgives will have within the project.
Processes: Organizations also have projects that require processes to control and in a certain way guarantee the expected quality.
Customer satisfaction with product quality: You must monitor how satisfied customers are to know if the quality objectives are being met or not and have room for correction to generate better results.
Continuous improvement: There should be no room for conformism and be willing to continue innovating while improving results, this being the responsibility of every organization.
Quality instruments: If quality results are expected, it is good to also have tools of equal quality where the equipment or means used must be reviewed and calibrated according to standards that must be met for the company.
Describe what Quality Management involves. (process) Quality management implies that in addition to waiting to comply with established standards, the largest possible errors or deviations in the different processes that exist should be avoided and if you have a focus on those same processes it can help a lot to know in advance what is needed to comply with these processes efficiently with the aim of always satisfying the customer.
What does “Quality Improvement Methods” refer to? Explain in detail. They are a series of techniques or tools that are used to carry out quality management in the best possible conditions. It has many functions, such as detecting problems in advance, either the inefficient participation of the personnel or things like that, and from that, an analysis of the results obtained is carried out.
What are the Quality Management principles that the International Standard for Quality Management adopts? Write a description of each. According to the International Standard for Quality Management, there are principles that must be followed to expect the best possible efficiency, which are:
Customer focus: Understand and be interested in their needs in order to achieve greater satisfaction.
Have leadership: Every great team that expects results must have a person who knows how to influence or direct so that it is easier to achieve results.
Commitment and participation of the staff: The motivation of the members of the organization generates a greater commitment, a better performance of their tasks and reduces uncertainty in times of crisis.
Process focus: Guiding each area of the organization is part of the overall development of the institution to achieve the objectives efficiently.
Continuous improvement: Not being satisfied with what has been done or achieved and continuing to improve procedures to be more effective.
Decision making: Data analysis is used to measure the performance of the organization and know what actions to take if you want to improve results or change strategies.
Relationship management: Whether with clients, with suppliers and even with other companies, it is important to maintain a beneficial and reciprocal relationship with everyone because you never know with whom great alliances can be formed.
What are the benefits of Quality Management? I believe that one of the greatest benefits of managing a good quality management system is the efficiency it can have to be followed by all employees in order to carry out business processes. Also the fact that higher levels of quality can be offered to the client in order to acquire much greater popularity in the established market. Another benefit is that it generates a lot of disposition to continuous improvement and creates an impact of innovation so that the company can continue to meet objectives and even have quality workers to have the peace of mind that you have the right people in each position and of course that each of the established objectives is met, be competitive and committed to the organization and customers.
Great job! the definitions are very clear and in general the work is easy to understand.
